Discover the Artistic World of Frank Cutting

Frank Cutting was born in Phippsburg, Maine on August 15, 1911. After the death of his father when he was six, his mother moved Frank and his brother Bill to Gloucester, Massachusets. However, Frank spent most of his summers at the Cutting farm in Phippsburg. This is where he developed his love for art and farming. He worked for many years at the Sebasco Lodge as the groundskeeper and many might remember his beautiful flower gardens. When not working at the lodge, he spent his time painting scenic views of Phippsburg and the surrounding villages. I hope you enjoy Frank's pictures as much as his family have.
